    About TIBA

    *The payment fee or the insurance for exchange rate fluctuations is the responsibility of the applicant
    *In case of the applicant is not the owner of the products, TIBA reserves the right to disclaim responsibility for any disputes arising between the applicant and the owner of the brand, trademark and ownership rights. Responsibility rests with the applicant.



    Rules and Conditions

    1. Large-scale industrial producers, importers, and OEM products over 100,000 liters per year. Registration fee 5,500 THB/Entry

    2. Small producers and importers of up to 100,000 liters per year. Registration fee 3,500 THB/Entry

    1. Eligibility of contestants

    • Breweries, whether individuals or beer company, both in Thailand and abroad.
    • Must be operators who have a legally valid beer production license in the country of establishment or have a legally valid import license for beer products in the country of establishment.
    • ​In case of the applicant is not the owner of the products, TIBA reserves the right to disclaim responsibility for any disputes arising between the applicant and the owner of the brand, trademark and ownership rights. Responsibility rests with the applicant.

    2. Eligibility of the entries

    • Entries must be produced by a brewery that is legally licensed to operate, in accordance with the eligibility criteria for contestants.
    • Entries must comply with the laws and regulations of the country of production, including proper tax payment.
    • Entries must be of quality and standards suitable for consumption and must not be harmful to consumers.

    3. Types and categories of entries.

    • Applicant can submit works in any group of style, and can submit only 2 beers per group style.
    • The submitted works must clearly specify the category and type.

    4. Submission of works for the contest.

    • Fill out the online registration form only through the official channels of TIBA.
    • The submitted works must have the quantity and packaging format as specified by the committee.
    • Bottles or cans of size 330 - 350 ml, 6 units (units of packaging).
    • Bottles or cans of size 500 - 640 ml, 4 units (units of packaging).
    • Download the label print and patch it to each piece of packaging with waterproof stickers.
    • Wrap packaging with separate cushioning materials
    • Pack 4 or 6 units of packaging into 1 plastic bag per work.
    • Pack into boxes and fill all gaps inside the boxes with cushioning materials
    • Contestants must submit their works to the designated submission location within the specified time.

    5. Qualification verification.

    • The TIBA committee has the right to verify the qualifications of contestants and works to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
    • If it is found that the applicant or the work does not meet the specified conditions, the committee has the right to disqualify the entry without prior notice.
    • No registration fees can be refunded under any circumstances.

    6. Other requirements.

    • If the applicant does not submit the work within the specified time and place, it will be considered a waiver of rights.
    • The applicant agrees that the TIBA committee may use the information and photographs of the work for publicity and dissemination.
    • The TIBA committee reserves the right to change the rules and conditions of the contest without prior notice.

    Judging Principles

    • Judging will be conducted by a panel of experts from both domestic and international backgrounds.
    • Judging will be conducted according to the BJCP Guidelines 2021.

    Judging Process

    • The judging panel consists of judges certified by BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program)
    • or have experience in judging beer according to BJCP standards.
    • Each entry will be evaluated by at least 3-5 judges to ensure accurate and impartial results.
    • Judges will use the BJCP Scoresheet to record scores for the participants.
    • Participants will receive their Scoresheet within 1 month after the award announcement.

    Award Announcement

    • Entries that score above the threshold in each category will receive a certificate and medals at the Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels respectively.
    • If any entry scores below the minimum threshold, it may not receive any awards.
    • The results from TIBA are final and cannot be changed.
